Monday Poetry Train - Brise

Tu es là / You are here
Omniprésent/ Always there
Comme un vieux caroussel/Like an old caroussel
Qui ne tourne plus/ That doesn't turn no more
Emmène-moi avec toi/ Take me with you
Peu importe ou tu voudras/ No matter where you want
Ta douceur me bècera/ Your softness will rock me
Mais combien d'autres/ But how many others
As-tu fait danser rageusement/ Did you make dance in rage
Mais pour moi/ But for me
Tu seras toujours/ You will always be
Que ma douce brise/ A soft breeze

i like the image of the lost love as carousel that no longer turns...perfect for valentine's day!

Like artpredator, I also like the idea of a carousel referring to love that longer is. Last part signals a subtle longing, perhaps?

I love this image, like the revolving carousel. Immediately followed by the knowledge that it no longer works. The difference in the narrator's perception of him as 'a soft breeze' when he's made others 'dance in rage' is intriguing.

Art, what I like about poetry, is that there is so many way you can see the same poem! I was thinking about the wind, I never realise this could be seen as a dead relationship!!

Lissa, don't we all have an hard time seeing that a relationship no longer exist?

Julia, don't forget that there is people that makes us boil, as well as some that have the power of soothing us every single time, this is the same way...

People have different kinds of relationships with different people. It brought hat out well.

Like the others said - the imagery of an old carousel was what really caught me. It has a nostalgic feel.
    Very nice indeed!
